Here is up and coming heavyweight prospect Tai "Bam Bam" Tuivasa fighting Brandon Sosoli at AFC 16 which took place in Melbourne, Australia on 6/18/16.

Tuivasa (8-0, 3-0 UFC), a former pro rugby player, currently trains out of the Lions High Performance Centre and has 7 T/KO's in the first round on his resume. His recent decision victory over Andrei Arlovski was his biggest to date, even if some disagreed with the judges. He takes on Junior Dos Santos next at UFC 142.


Tuivasa drank a shoey after he KO'd Cyril Asker at UFC 221.

Igor Vovchanchyn's Bizarre World Vale Tudo 5 Run

Here is Igor Vovchanchyn fighting Tulio Palhares, Elias Rodrigues and Nick Nutter at the World Vale Tudo Championship 5 which took place on 2/3/98 in Brazil.

At the time, World Vale Tudo's rule set was no holds barred/NHB without rounds. Vovchanchyn (55-10), an MMA and combat sports legend, fought almost exclusively in tournaments until entering the Pride organization. Vovchanchyn hold career victores over Mark Kerr, Yuki Kondo, Gilbert Yvel, and a very fatigued Kazushi Sakuraba.

Tulio Palhares, his first opponent that night, does own a TKO at UFC 17.5. The rest of his career wasn't much to write home about. No clue what happened at the end.


Vovchanchyn next fought Elias Rodrigues who was brought in supposedly after UFC veteran Patrick Smith could not continue after his bout. It features maybe the most non nonchalant tap outs I've seen.


In the finale, Vovchanchyn fought NCAA All American from Ohio State Nick Nutter, and the rest is history.

Dandois (8-2) has career wins over former Strikforce champ Marloes Coenen, TUF veteran Jessamyn Duke and Invicta prospect Meghan Anderson. Dandois is a frequent training partner of former UFC champ Miesha Tate and has some solid grappling. As you can tell post fight, she is desperate for a chance to get to the UFC.

Here is former UFC lightweight champ Jens Pulver fighting TUF 24 champ Tim Elliot at RFA 1 which took place on 12/16/11 in Kearney, Nebraska.

Elliot, the current Titan FC 125 pound champ, won The Ultimate Fighter 24 earning himself a title shot against Demetrious Johnson this Saturday.

Lewis v. Hebert

Here is Derrick Lewis fighting Taylor Hebert at IXFA MMA which took place on 2/26/11 in Houston, Texas.

Lewis (15-4, 6-2 UFC) KO'd Gabriel Gonzaga at UFN 86 and will fight Roy Nelson next.

Vladimir Mineev v. Xavier Foupa-Pokam

Here is Vladimir Mineev fighting 13 year veteran Xavier Foupa-Pokam at Fight Night - Battle of Moscow 19 which took place on 6/11/15.

Mineev (5-0) is an interesting middleweight prospect with an extensive kickboxing record having won titles in WKN, WKA and WAKO-Pro heavyweight divisions. Kickboxing records not involving K-1 are notoriously sketchy, and while his is listed at 24-2, he likely has a few unrecorded bouts. Mineev's grappling will need to improve dramatically to make it to the next level.

Xavier "Professor X" Foupa-Pokam (32-21) has career wins over several legit MMA veterans, including a submission win over UFC vet Tom Watson, flying knee KO over TUF vet Kasey Uscola and decision win over BAMMA champ Jack Marshman.

Thrilla In Manila - Ali v. Frazier 3

Here is the end of the trilogy between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. It ocurred on 10/1/75 for the Heavyweight title at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City, Metro Manila, Philippines.

At the time, Ali was 48-2 with 35 KO's. Frazier was 32-2 with 27 KO's. Ali weighed in at 224, while Frazier tipped the scales at 215. Ali lost the first bout "The Fight of the Century" via unanimous decision, while winning the rematch via split decision.
